ABOUT

Gloria Sun is originally from Hong Kong and emigrated to New York in 2004 with her 4 cats and Westie-mix dog. She has since become a creative force in the NYC theatre scene.

With an emphasis in props and graphics design, she graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, University of Hong Kong School of Professional and Continuing Education Fine Art & Design and the First Institute of Art and Design.  As a teenager, Gloria learned to sew and pattern-make by helping out in her Dad's handbag factory. She also gained lasting experience in business administration by organizing all of her Dad's export products to overseas markets.

After working in interior design firms and Illustration studios in Hong Kong, Gloria realized her passion lay in props creation for theatre and commercial projects. She also realized she was ready for new challenges on distant horizons. With absolutely no business contacts or professional prospects, Gloria packed up everything and moved to America.

Early on, while trying to make a name for herself and break into the NY theatre scene, Gloria paid her bills by handing out show postcards at the TKTS booth in Times Square. In 2005 she became acquainted with the puppet company, Lone Wolf Tribe after making props for one of their productions. She soon became their general manager, and handled the company's accounting and production management.
